Chrysí — literally “golden” in Greek — is an uninhabited island of 5 km² designated as a protected nature reserve. No cars, no permanent structures, no background noise of civilization. This photograph was taken in that mid-morning light that transforms the waters of the Libyan Sea into a crystal mirror.
