We returned to Doel—a haunting Belgian ghost town—to capture this iconic 80’s BMW E30 model alongside a Porsche 944. The contrast between these German classics and the deteriorating urban landscape creates striking visual tension.

Having scouted Doel previously, we identified optimal locations for capturing the BMW E30 and its companion vehicle. After several shooting sessions throughout the abandoned streets, we discovered this exceptional garage setting.

The abandoned garage became our primary setting—a squatted structure marked by decay, graffiti tags, and scattered debris. This raw environment perfectly frames the restored BMW E30, creating a stark contrast between the preserved classic car and its crumbling surroundings.

Our concept centered on juxtaposition: placing a meticulously maintained BMW E30 classic within a deteriorating urban space amplifies both subjects. This interplay between mechanical preservation and environmental decay delivers a powerful visual impact that elevates the photograph beyond standard automotive documentation.
